Overview

A conceptual mobile app designed to make credit management simpler and more approachable.

During my time at TMG, I had the opportunity to design a mobile app that helped users better understand their credit score and improve their financial wellbeing. The project combined branding, interface design and prototyping to explore how thoughtful design could make complex financial information feel more accessible and engaging.

The Challenge

Creating a simple and engaging way for users to understand their financial progress.

The challenge was to design an experience that made credit information easier to navigate, while helping users understand their current position and the steps they could take to improve their financial health. The focus was on creating a balance between useful information, clear visual hierarchy and an approachable interface.

The Solution

Creating a clear and approachable interface through thoughtful design.

Beginning with low-fidelity wireframes before progressing into high-fidelity concepts in Sketch, the project explored how structure, layout and visual design could make the app experience feel intuitive and easy to use. Each screen was designed to create consistency across the product while reinforcing the overall brand identity.

Wireframes

Exploring layouts before refining the final interface.

Initial wireframes were used to explore screen layouts, information hierarchy and navigation before moving into high-fidelity designs. This early stage helped establish the overall structure of the app and provided a solid foundation for the final interface.

Prototype Development

Refining the structure and visual language before moving into the final interface.

With the initial layouts established, I developed the visual system and began bringing the screens together in Sketch. This included refining typography, colour, spacing and key interface elements, while prototyping the experience to explore how the screens worked together and how users would move through the app.

Final Interface

Bringing the concept to life through high-fidelity design.

Building on the approved layouts, the final interface focused on creating a clean, approachable experience that balanced usability with a modern visual identity. Careful attention was given to hierarchy, spacing and consistency to make key information easy to understand at a glance.

Supporting Website

Extending the concept beyond the app experience.

To support the launch of the concept, I also designed a lead generation landing page that introduced the product and encouraged users to register their interest. The page carried the same visual identity as the app, creating a consistent experience from first impression through to product engagement.

Outcome

A concept that strengthened my understanding of digital product design.

Over the course of the six-month project, I gained valuable experience designing beyond traditional graphic design, from early wireframes and prototyping in Sketch through to high-fidelity interfaces and a supporting marketing page. It reinforced the importance of creating consistent digital experiences while balancing branding, usability and clear communication.
